In December 2019, I was commissioned to create a pastel pencil portrait of Mazie, a beloved pet. The goal was to capture Mazie\u2019s personality and unique features in a highly detailed, realistic style. Using soft pastels allowed for rich layering and subtle shading, bringing depth and texture to the fur while maintaining a soft, lifelike quality.<\/p>\n

Creating this portrait required patience and precision, as I focused on every detail\u2014from the expressive eyes to the intricate variations in fur colour and texture. The end result was a heartfelt and meaningful piece that serves as a lasting keepsake for the owner, celebrating the special bond they shared with their pet. This portrait was later scanned and printed as custom gift cards.<\/p>\n
