In September 2021, I painted a large-scale mural for Hill\u2019s Kitchen, a caf\u00e9 in Littlehampton. Completed over two weekends, the mural was designed to enhance the caf\u00e9\u2019s atmosphere and create a welcoming, vibrant space for customers. The artwork was tailored to complement the caf\u00e9\u2019s existing aesthetic, adding a unique, hand-painted feature that makes the space more inviting.<\/p>\n

This project was completed entirely freehand, allowing for a fluid and organic approach to composition. Working on a large scale required careful planning and adaptability, ensuring the design remained balanced and visually engaging. Alongside the mural, I was also commissioned to create a separate A3 gouache painting of the old oak tree that stands just outside the caf\u00e9. This piece serves as a sentimental tribute to the tree, capturing its character and significance within the local landscape. The combination of both artworks adds depth to the caf\u00e9\u2019s identity, connecting it to its surroundings in a meaningful way.<\/p>\n
