In April 2022, I completed my first signwriting mural for Laneway Boulders, created as part of the branding for their new bouldering gym in Stepney. The large-scale lettering was designed in Illustrator before being transferred to the wall by hand, allowing the design to be accurately scaled and positioned across the space. The project was completed over two days, totalling 17.5 hours, and was also my first experience working at height.
The project was a particularly memorable one, as it was my first opportunity to combine my graphic design skills with large-scale signwriting. The lettering required careful attention to proportion, spacing and alignment, while curved elements were all freehand. I also completed the mural while 20 weeks pregnant, adding another memorable element to an already significant project.
